NOTICE: At the current time(Well, maybe a week ago at time of writing), judgements here are at an indefinite standstill, due to things I have to do, having less free time, and the sheer growth of the topic. And maybe a bit of laziness on my part. I'm postponing them until the end of the contest, or something, when everything's cooled down. Until then, though, I still plan to participate, making a few entries here and there.
As a member of the previous topic selected as a member of 3.0's jury, I've decided to place my judgements here for easy reading. To find my observations on your moveset, search for the page number of your entry, and you'll find it there. The Find function (Ctrl + F, for those who don't know) will be useful. I also will not judge my own movesets. For obvious reasons.
EDIT: Oh, I guess there is no jury this time. Oh well, I'll still put commentary anyway.
NOTE: On the topic of rejudgements, I will do so when I have the time to, and as long as you inform me(via comment or PM) or the thread itself of an update. It's quite a feat trying to adjust to the pace of the new topic,(20 pages on the first day!) and with this project, the list, and a weeklong camp trip starting next Saturday/Sunday, I might be a bit out of commission for some time after in a desperate attempt to catch up. (Maybe a few weeks to a month or so.) I dread how much might have happened when I return. :o
I will most likely do rejudgements during a period of 'moveset drought', or after all my first judgements are finished. (Which will be sometime in January, according to the contest rules.)
* = movesets I have to rejudge, due to an update I was informed of. If I see no need to change it, though, I will not. And that star will be gone when I do rejudge/not change.
(HR) = My medal for recommended movesets to read and consider for final judgement. These are ones that have the distinction of going above and beyond most movesets. And aren't mine, of course. XD
When I converse with the other judges, I will recommend these.
These movesets I've selected have many things going for them. Balance, attacks correlating to that, creativity, and lots of other things. These usually have few, if any flaws. You can determine which ones I've pointed out when you find this before their name.
Read them, and learn from them, young grasshoppers.
NOTES
-When I say borderline, it means it's not really broken outright, but very close to it. You'd be skating on thin ice.
-I'm not quite sure how many times I've seen this, but it must be addressed. 'dtilt' means they're crouching when they do an attack. It's gonna be nearly impossible to stomp down onto an opponent. So take that into account. dtilt also does not necessarily equal dsmash.
-------------------------------------------
Now, my criterion, so that you know what to go for in order to curry my favour.
"Is it interesting to read?"
What this means is if the moveset can catch my attention. Pictures to illustrate what the attacks and characters are, overall detail, etc. The more it intrigues me, the better a score I will give it.
"Creativity"
As SirKibble said, be creative. Movesets with simple punches and kicks are boring, and limit the potential of the character. Unless it's for a specific reason(Fighting style, etc.), make your characters as creative as possible. Not even the sky should be the limit. Instead of a kick, maybe a headbutt, or a spin. At least it's something. This is very important for my judging, as well as everyone else's. Keep that in mind.
Because I've seen it a few times, I just want to remind you that the normal attacks, dash attack, tilts, smashes, aerials and grabs don't have to be generic punches and kicks. Remember, special things shouldn't just be reserved for special attacks...
"How's it look?"
Is the moveset organized? Is it presented well? If it's messy, with random things all over the place, it can be harder for me to give a good score. Keep it clean, keep it simple(For the most part). I'm a bit of a stickler for spelling and grammar, but I'll give some leeway, and if you're missing something, I'll let you know so that it can be fixed. Giving explanations on attacks like hitbox, damage, knockback, etc. also can help me to envision the character better.
"Balance Issues"
How balanced is your character? Especially applies to OCs or characters with actual godlike powers. (I extend my view on fanfiction to other things, per se.) If you want to make a character practically perfect in every way, then by all means take it somewhere else, like fanfiction.net, or maybe my friend can direct you to the topic on Gaia where they have this. I don't care if he/she's your favourite character evar, or you're writing a book about them, or something. If their stats are too good, or they have something broken and impossible to beat, that'll dock your points a fair bit.
"Is it a Pokemon?"
LOL. But seriously, folks, while there are many characters from many universes that can be viable for a moveset, no need to say, stick the entire cast of Mario, or Fire Emblem in the game. You could try Assist Trophies, or god forbid, POKE BALLS. (Kudos to Mario_And_Sonic_Guy for being the only one to actually make some.) While this isn't nearly as big a penalty as other things I put, it's really irritating when all 400-something of them are fighting for the top spot.
-------------------------------------------
So, What's Necessary?
In order for me to judge a moveset, not much needs to be there at all. But a complete, bare-bones moveset must have these to even be considered for the finals by most.
-Statistics
-A attacks (I call them normals)
-Smash Attacks
-Aerials
-Grabs and Throws
-Specials
-Final Smash
As you've seen, I will judge movesets missing some of these as well, but I will assume they are unfinished. Extras are not really required, but they do help a lot, as it shows how much work you put into the character. Extras can include:
-Pictures
-Snake Codecs
-Animations
-Get-up/Ledge Attacks
-Trophy and Sticker Data
-Assist Trophies, Stages, Music, etc.
I also do not judge extras in the realm of the last two points. These are independent of the character, for the most part.
Page 1
Team Rocket: Wow, another 5 movesets in one. Like the previous topic's Vent, this one stayed true to what the Pokemon would do. I also like the variety of each of them, makes you feel that working as a team would be most optimal with them. Only criticism is that the Pokemon might need costume colours.
Pokemon Trainer (XD): Another interesting concept. Umbreon looks good in terms of stats. Other than that, I can't make a solid judgement until it's done.
(HR)Dry Bones: I think it was already done last contest. Not sure, but fairly positive. Anyway, the creativity of this moveset really shows. DB has good balance and kept my interest. Looks great, if not the best one on the page.
Chosen One: Much better than before. While I didn't see much need in replacing the Gopher Special into the fsmash, the special given makes it all up, setting a tone with what I believe the movie's genre was about. Good stuff.
Firestar: Sounds fun, with a cat with special powers fighting. While I doubt this one is complete, what you have so far seems good.
Page 2
Giygas: YOU CANNOT GRASP THE TRUE FORM OF GIYGAS' ATTACK!
Baz: A very strong entry, like Dry Bones in the last part. (But it's a little weaker, imo.) I easily understood what each of the attacks were. If I had to change it, I would put information on the damage and knockback, but that's just me.
(I don't even let up slack on the contest starter! Hee hee!)
Mewtwo: Some parts of the moveset are nearly identical to the Melee counterpart. Others are not. I liked all the changes except for aerials. They just seemed a little bland to me. Other than that, looks good. Another quality moveset from MaSG!
Page 3
(HR)Paper Luigi: Best moveset in the topic so far. Creativity's been brought to the limit, everything's detailed enough to be informative, but not long, and he has strong balance. Nice work, SirKibble. Maybe this one can measure up to the last contest's winner, being his paper-thin brother.
Bowser's Minions: Monty Mole! Yay!
That aside, this is another one of those Pokemon-Trainer type movesets. Again, like Team Rocket earlier, it stays true to what the characters would do. Monty digs, Blooper floats about, Goomba uses Kuribo's Shoe, etc. Good.
Page 4
Clipit: Simple enough. Comparisons make my job easier than it is. It's good how a paperclip can make things work without the use of hands and legs.
Supercultist: I noticed all I did earlier was mention the brokenness of Terrormode, but I'm glad to see it got fixed up. The rest of the moveset was quite good, utilizing what the cultist has.
Ridley: Already done in the last contest. It kind of stays true to what Ridley does(fly, slash, breathe fire...), but it lacks for some reason. It's really basic overall, and while basic is good to start, if you want to get anywhere in this contest, you need to pull all the stops.
I won't bother mentioning anything else because it looks like other posters already covered that.
Page 5
King K.Rool: Your first attempt was better. Also already done last contest. Knuckle Sandwich is terribly uninspired.
Chao: Interesting concept. I like the idea of it all. It's also quite creative in what the Chao does. Another great moveset.
Page 6
Joe Perry: This moveset is comparable to the last contest's Weird Al Yankovic, where the song names are utilized in the character, with the appropriate actions. Has just as much variety as Weird Al, and for that reason I recommend this one.
Page 7
Timon and Pumbaa: Yet another great moveset this contest. Timon and Pumbaa, the best of friends, work together as a team. This one kind of reminds me of the last contest's Aqua Teen Hunger Force in this regard.
Page 8
Ed: Good detail in terms of attacks, but considering the nature of the source material, perhaps the normals (tilts, smashes, aerials) can use some of the craziness.
Grey Fox: Uh... he has 2 Down Smashes. Perhaps you meant Down Tilt for the first one? Anyway, for a guy with a sword, he sure doesn't use it too often. But if anything, his moveset isn't all generic punches and kicks. It's also nice that you gave tons of detail on his attacks, from hitbox to overall strength.
Xemnas: I like how all the attacks had names, showing what they are. Many of his strikes are also unique compared to others.
Lip: I think this was entered in the last contest. Like Dry Bones, I think this is better than the previous one. Lip uses a lot of her powers, which she needs, being a small fragile girl and all. The Panels were integrated nicely.
*Astaroth: (Will fill in later)
Page 9
Bag Man: This was an old Halloween costume apparently, huh? While a 'person' type character would normally do a lot of punches and kicks, the bag tendrils were a nice touch to add uniqueness. Love the unlock method.
Banjo Kazooie: Already done last contest, and even then, this one just seems generic compared to the previous one. You may want to take a look at it for inspiration.
Teen Girl Squad: Oh boy, yet another Pokemon Trainer... But it's not without its quirks. I personally enjoy how everyone attacks the same way aside from the specials. It's oddly one of a kind in a way. And while each of them are different for some things, they're all the same in another. (Aside from all of them being teen girls.)
Page 10
Dr. Eggman: This moveset made good use for Eggman's mech. It's really expected from Eggman, him being lazy like that. I really liked the references to his boss machines from other Sonic games. Good work.
Page 11
Hunter: Gives some good idea for the attacks, and the bow and arrow usage is nice, but something's missing, and I can't put my finger on it.
*Plusle & Minun: Very incomplete. Finish it, and I'll judge it. (I'll judge it in the later entry.)
Frosslass: Hmm hmm. Looks like this one's finished. And I still like what I see. The balance problem's been fixed, the Pokemon moveset has been used well, and the floating is still a good part of her uniqueness.
Page 12
*Ranaru: At first I thought he seemed a bit overpowered, but the damage of his aerials stopped me. But to steal a quote from Iron Thorn, his description is sort of Sue-ish. Change that. Mary Sues are for parody and beginner's/badly done fiction only. (Like mine in the last contest. :D)
Skull Kid: Very nice. It's good that Skull Kid uses everything in his arsenal to make short work of his opponents. It didn't get boring for a while, either. Another good work.
Page 13
*Big Daddy & Little Sister: Sweet, a machine. The contrast between the two shows, both in appearance and in battle, it seems. They both seem to play differently, and their spawn/saving mechanics are quite neat.
Little Sister is missing a lot of stuff, unless of course it was intentional.
Page 14
Lloyd Irving: I need to see the other Lloyd & Colette moveset in the last contest before I can make a comparison. I'll do that in a bit.
Colette Brunel: See: Lloyd Irving
Richter: It's... okay. Just okay. Not really basic, but it isn't really remarkable, in my opinion.
Page 16
Squall Leonheart: He's pretty much just an Ike clone with a function for extra damage. And heavier. And better overall in terms of stats. Not much else to say here. The Gunblade Trigger ability is nice, though. Gives a hint of originality.
Page 17
(HR)*Colette Brunel (2): Very interesting abilities that she has. Maybe a little too much of them. XD (I kid, I kid. More is good.) All the moves are detailed quite well, and there's so much information on everything. Even though it isn't complete, it's the best damn start I've ever seen. Hope your future movesets are as good as this one.
Page 18
Servbot: Lots of funny- and creative attacks in his arsenal. I don't think Servbot speaks English, but I don't care. Good job.
Page 19
Chris Lionheart (older): He seems like a Fire Emblem character, especially with Side and Down B. Then again, it's your source of inspiration. The moveset is pretty good and detailed. I might change up the stats slightly. Aside from throws, he seems a little broken, imo. He has average speed, but he's a slow character. Change the stats to reflect that. Otherwise, looks good. Really emphasizes the time you put into making his world.
Goomba: Nah, not much work was put into this one. No clue what Goomba Squash is. Hope you update this one soon, because it's near unacceptable if it's a final entry.
Page 20
This Game's Winner: Heh. Very good. Good detail, great concept, and I love every move.
Team Big Shots: The attacks are detailed enough. Could use some more, but it's fine. The Pokemon act like they should. I hate to say it though, but not much else makes them stand out in my mind.
Uuber Man: Uuber Man is Uuber good. And by Uuber good I mean Uuber totally sweet.
Cutman: Very nice how you used the cutters that Cutman has.
Renji: The counter is unique in how it operates, it looks like. I like how this was done. For a moment I wasn't sure if this character has a serious or a comical tone.
Missing bair, unless it is fair.
Page 23
Inuyasha: Good overall. You may want to elaborate on Demon Inuyasha's physical based moveset, though.
Page 25
Crono: I'm really not quite sure what to write, even after looking it over a few times. It's acceptable, but it doesn't really go above and beyond the threshold. Average.
Page 27
Lil' Slugger: I'm not sure what series exactly the character is from, nor have I seen it. The moveset is easy to understand by someone outside of the fandom, and I sort of guess that the reason he mostly uses his bat is because it's his style. It's good.
Elite Beat Agents: The rhythm mechanic sounds unique, and looks good on paper and imagining it in practice. Some attacks seem a little weak in %.
Page 28
Jade: Another dude looks like a lady. Even sounds like a lady. Nonetheless, he seems good. Especially the balance factor.
Gilius Thunderhead: Isn't striking with the handle and holding the part close to the head dangerous? Nonetheless, this character seems really good in terms of moveset and balance. He's the Mario of this contest so far, statwise.
Page 30
(HR)Computer Trolley: Haha, nice. It's a wonderful take on how an actual computer trolley would fight, if it could. Creativity abounds here, as everything he/she/it has is used to smack around his/her/its opponents. Nice job.
*Nintendogs: Ah, it isn't complete yet. Either way, it's an impressive start. And since you're wondering about stats, they look fine to me. Here's hoping it's as good as your other ones.
Missing Down Tilt for German Shepherd.
Page 31
*Brian (Quest 64): It would be nice if you mentioned what the moves look like. I've never played Quest 64 myself, and some other people might not have either. Other than that, it's nice. I like the multiple FSes.
*Mystery Men: (Only Blue Raja is done at the time of this writeup.) Blue Raja seems to be very interesting with his forks, and he uses them in very good ways. And there's 6 more movesets coming for this one? You're right. It is the most diverse character ever.
Tingle: It's okay. More details on what he does would be nice. "Butt" by itself is totally hilarious on its own, but what does he do with it?
Page 32
Lucky Day: Better than the Chosen One you made, imo, due to his variety in attacks. Letting me know about the strength and knockback is also good stuff.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl Box: Sweeeeeet. Like the Computer Trolley, it's funny to see how inanimate objects can fight.
Jirachi: Like a lot of the Pokemon entries, it shows what the Pokemon would do in such a situation. Not much else to say about that.
Page 34
*Staraptor: Is there a picture? Even without a picture, a description would be nice. Kind of sounds like a bird, judging by the moveset. In terms of stats, because you asked, also looks fine to me.
The Secret Apprentice/Starkiller: I like him. He's so deliciously evil. As his master was in the last contest, he definitely seems like a worthy successor for this one.
Youko: Heh, great. Another very creative moveset, pulling all the stops for this one, it seems like.
(HR)The Chosen One (2): SirKibble, do you ever run out of imagination? Just enough detail to be informative but not boring, and there's a lot of things you see the Chosen One do.
Page 35
Mama Luigi: Probably your best one yet, I think. It's good how you integrated both the things that Mama Luigi is known for with the things that Luigi is known for. As well as some punches and kicks, but can't win 'em all. Great work.
Page 36
(HR)*Rouge the Bat: Even though Rouge does have a lot of kicks, all are done in different ways, it seems. Nonetheless, you did a very good job on this one. It's a strange case compared to other movesets. Her normals are special, but not so much as her B attacks, which are more special in their right. Near perfect execution, and I'd be a little surprised if this doesn't win something.
Indiana Jones: His stats look promising. Other than that, not much else for me to look at and say.
Shroob: It's good. It's like the Rouge moveset in the way that a lot of its attacks are slashes, but in many different styles. Specials are nice, too. And the Yoob looks strangely badass.
Page 37
Toadsworth: I love how his neutral B is the Peach Doll to contrast with Peach's Toad. The moveset all in all is great. And the alternate costumes look very well-done.
Negi-Kun: Some descriptions are fine, others aren't. The thing about swinging the Ipod, I can envision. The thing about "Shiryokan" I can't. Unless it's a Shoryuken clone. Which it probably is. Stats are kind of borderline, too.
Missing uair.
Page 38
*King Arthur (Monty Python): Another good start. Not nearly as good a start as say, Colette on Page 17, but neat nonetheless. I'm looking forward to what else from the movie can be integrated into his moveset.
Page 40
Cutlass: Pretty good overall. Cutlass has a lot of things she can do with her weapons and swords. ftilt reminds me of Ganon's. She also, as a character, she reminds me of Captain Syrup. A lot of the moves have adequate detail.
Santa Claus: Really funny and interesting to read. I can see you had a lot of fun making that moveset, and it really shows as I read it.
Missing bair.
Shinon: Nice. He's essentially a giant Meta Knight in terms of attack speed, and even damage. Not bad.
Page 42
Buzz Lightyear: I'm not quite sure why Buzz has the Necro-Copter and is called Dry Bones for that move, but okay. You may want to fix that. Otherwise it's good. Like Rouge's moveset, it mixes both standard attacks in different styles along with his trademarks from the movie.
The Toy Story theme is a little snippet of "You've Got A Friend In Me", isn't it. Because I can't imagine it as anything else.
And regarding his FS, I like the second one better.
Page 43
Ray Fox: Seems you've made good use of his firepowers combined in his attacks. He kinda seems like the spawn of a drunk night out in the town by Sonic and Fox, based on what he does. No, I don't intend that as an insult. It's good.
Animator & Animation: Neat. It's used just about as much creativity as SirKibble's take on this, too. Good effort.
Page 45
Sword Ganondorf: SkylerOcon... that name sounds very familiar to me for some reason. Does "Paraca" ring a bell?
Anyways, this is a nice take on if Ganon uses his sword, how he would use it. It uses a nice blend of both his normal attacks and his sword strikes.
Missing fair.
Page 46
Blaziken: He seems somewhat balanced to me also, statwise. Not quite as balanced as Gilius, but still has some nonetheless. But the moves are borderline. Roundhouse Kick in particular. It's a very strong attack that comes in faster than Falcon Punch. I might nerf it a bit. Otherwise, it's fine. It's good how you supplement his very strong moves with Blaziken taking damage to itself to balance it out.
Page 47
Anise: She sure doesn't look to be 7/10 in size, unless the official art isn't good at showing that. The doll doesn't look it either. Otherwise the moveset is nice, and like a lot of magical characters, she gets to use a lot of her magical spells.
Missing uair. Or rather, it needs to be filled in.
Page 48
(HR)Nintendogs: Ah, now it's done. LOL at "Boing Boing" fsmash. This was a very creative and a very hilarious moveset to read. You're really good at this.
Page 50
Stanislav "Spade" Serkov: If the SSE is made, this guy needs to have a rivalry with Ray Fox. They're both quite similar in character and execution. He's good.
Roger Rabbit: Great integration of the classic cartoon actions, such as frying pans and boxing glove machines.
Dry Bowser: He's like Bowser, except he's entirely different. There's just so much nice difference here, as to his bone attacks and melee strikes.
Page 51
Doopliss: Normals are good. Specials are very unique, though. Identity Thief seems to have a lot of perks associated with it.
Gigan: Very nice. I only wish he could've used his buzzsaw more. Stats are borderline, however.
Page 52
Poltergust Luigi: You may want to update the first part, seeing as you put in the specials. They're very nice, and there was a lot of detail put into them. However, you'll want to put in A attacks as well.
Page 53
Paladin: Giving names of each of his moves is nice. Even if a lot of them are simple hammer ones. But dsmash, normal and up special are broken in so many ways because of their effects. Possibly down special too. It has potential. It just needs balance.
Page 54
MissingNo: (This review cannot be seen because MissingNo deleted it.)
Peter Griffin: You've done your homework. A lot of stuff from the show is placed in this moveset, to give Peter a feel of his own, like you said.
Missing Side and Down B.
Page 55
(HR)Egoraptor: Like Peter Griffin, tons of the things Egoraptor has done has been integrated very nicely in his moveset for this contest. It was a blast to read.
Jeff Hardy: Very fun to read also. I wasn't entirely sure if wrestlers could perform those stunts for a minute. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH made it all up, though.
Missing dtilt.
...
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH
Mewtwo: I didn't see the previous 'fail' version, but I like this one. Mewtwo does a lot of psychic things in this one that he never did before, and I like that you're taking those liberties.
Page 56
(HR)The CEO: Does he say "MONEY PAWNCH" when he does the Money Paunnnch? This was another funny moveset to make, and it's good stuff filled in. I like the business practices placed in.
I might reduce the healing effect of fsmash, myself. It's another borderline case. Otherwise, very nice.
Akabane/Dr. Jackal: What's the deal with all these dudes who look like ladies? Nonetheless, I like how his recovery is his Neutral Special instead of Up Special. He does a lot of creative things with his scalpels, too.
Page 57
Xigbar: This guy sounds like the spacing master. The bullet mechanic is nice to have. But it's broken, or at the very least the most borderline, because of the sheer control over the fight he can have with his bullets.
Silver the Hedgehog: Aw man, when I first heard this guy's voice, I really didn't expect to hear what he sounded like. He also does not look 14 in the least. He does, however, use his psychic powers well, like Mewtwo earlier. It's good.
Page 58
Emeril Lagasse: Can't really judge this one, due to its incompleteness. The Assist Trophy is interesting, though.

Prologue:
A screen caption reads: Earth-X
Tabuu, following his defeat in Brawl, falls from the sky onto a brand new earth in another universe. He is found by a person unseen by the camera. Tabuu reaches out in pain, but then falls to the ground motionless. The camera pans out to show a hole in his chest and that ball thing missing. The unseen figure raises his hand and holds the little ball triumphantly.
Next, we see another Earth. The screen caption reads: Earth-1. Crash Bandicoot & Old School Mario are fighting at the Coliseum. Daisy and Mary Sue are in attendance. After the player wins, A portal to Subspace opens, and Tails Doll emerges, along with a rain of Shadow Bugs. Crash, Mario, Sue, and Daisy unite to defeat the hoards. After they defeat the Shadow Bugs, Tails Doll sends a giant Dark Chain Chomp tied to a block to take care of them, and then flees, but not before dropping a ticking Subspace Bomb and turning Daisy into a trophy. The remaining three battle the Chomp and upon defeating it, reanimate the Chain Chomp trophy, revealing a docile, friendly creature. Suddenly the Subspace Bomb goes off, but the heroes flee on Chain Chomp’s back.
STAGE 1: The Coliseum (BOSS: Giant Dark Chain Chomp)
We see yet another earth, called Earth-2. It’s another night on Stephen Colbert’s show, The Colbert Report, where musical guests Jimi Hendrix, Judy Nails, and Weird Al are performing. Suddenly, another Subspace portal opens, and King K.Rool emerges with a host of Shadow Bug creatures. After Stephen, Judy, Jimi and Al defeat the bugs, K.Rool summons a mutated Trogdor to battle them. K.Rool also swings down and kidnaps Weird Al. The remaining three battle mutated Trogdor and free him once he is defeated. Trogdor joins them. They are then forced to flee to avoid a Subspace Bomb that engulfs Stephen’s Studio.
STAGE 2: The Studio (BOSS: Mega-Trogdor)
In Subspace, Weird Al tries to defeat K.Rool and escape, but is stopped by the appearance of Skull Kid. Weird Al flees and finds a strange portal to what looks like his earth, and he jumps through it.
Meanwhile, back on Earth-1, Rorschach is patrolling his city, when he sees something far away falling from the sky. He investigates, and discovers Weird Al. The two recognize each other as friends, and just in time, as another swarm of Shadow Bugs appears.
STAGE 3: The Countryside
On Earth-1, Squanto is defending his tribe from the vicious Shadow Bug onslaught. Suddenly, a crimson figure bursts from the ground below: It’s Juggernaut, equally vexed by the creatures. The two team up to win the day and find the source of the threat.
Meanwhile, a lone Primid is seen activating a Subspace bomb before running away.
STAGE 4: The Reservation
On Earth-1, Skull Kid watches from afar as another Subspace bomb detonates. He is approached fro behind by this world’s Bowser, looking to help in hopes of defeating his nemesis Old School Mario. Skull Kid enlists him, but not like you’d expect: He uses his power to turn Bowser into Dry Bowser!
At Bowser’s Castle, Bowser jr. watches his father’s fate, terrified. Bowser jr. Vows revenge on Skull Kid and heads out to defeat Skull Kid. But suddenly, Junior finds his castle besieged by Subspace creatures! Junior fights his way out, and upon his exit, discovers help in the form of Geno! The two team up in hopes to save the world.
STAGE 5: The Castle
Back on Earth-2, Ryu is fighting a losing battle against a giant R.O.B., when Jaffar, the Angel of Death comes to his rescue. The two team up and defeat the robot, but then Travis Touchdown and K.Rool appear. Touchdown, having been hired and paid extremely well by K.Rool and the Subspace forces, engages the two, but when they begin to win, he is rescued by K.Rool in his rocketbarrel. Jaffar and Ryu chase Travis and K.Rool, but to no avail.
STAGE 6: The Fields (BOSS: Giant R.O.B.)
On Earth-1, Rorschach and Al are continuing their search when they run into Chomp, Crash, Old School Mario, and Mary Sue. They team up, just as a swarm of Subspace beings, this time led by Pinstripe Pondoroo, appears. Pinstripe, upon seeing Crash, becomes enraged and attacks him head on. Crash defeats him, and Pinstripe is turned into a trophy. Mary Sue reanimates him, hoping to reason with him, and Pinstripe runs away. The heroes go on to defeat the Subspace foes before another Subspace Bomb can be activated.
STAGE 7: The Plains (‘Boss’: Pinstripe)
On Earth-2, Stephen, Jimi, Judy and Trogdor are chasing K.Rool and Travis, but are unable to reach him because of the rocketbarrel. They continue chasing them until Travis jumps out to deal with them. After the heroes defeat him, he explains he isn’t evil, it was just the job. Stephen then offers Travis twice what K.Rool paid him to switch sides. Travis agrees.
STAGE 8: The Streets
Also on Earth-2, Juggernaut and Squanto continue battling Subspace creatures until they run into Ryu and Jaffar. The 4 team up and continue battling.
Elsewhere, an unseen figure viciously cuts through Subspace foes with what sounds like a chainsaw.
STAGE 9: The Valley
On Earth-1, Paula Polestar is running through the woods trying to escape Petey Piranha and the Subspace monsters. Petey, yet again in league with the Subspace Army, seems to corner Paula, but Hariyama comes to her rescue. Instead of fighting, Petey activates a sleeker, faster Galleom model and flees.. This new Galleom attacks Paula and Hariyama, but they defeat it, and, like it’s predecessor, Galleom Mark II runs away before being destroyed.
Elsewhere on Earth-1, in a bathroom stall, two stubby green feet can be seen, and an annoying song is heard…
STAGE 10: The Forest (BOSS: Galleom Mark II)
Also on Earth-1, Animal Crosser is minding his business in his village when Deoxys and Dry Bowser appear, with Shadow Bugs in tow. Crosser defeats the minions but Deoxys and Dry Bowser have disappeared. Bowser jr. and Geno appear after the battle, having just missed their target. Animal Crosser joins them.
In Subspace, Trophy Daisy is reanimated by….a Primid?!?
STAGE 11: The Village
On Earth-2, Duffman is battling the Subspace army, but is attacked by Galleom Mark II, who somehow came from Earth-1 to Earth-2. Duffman defeats it, but Galleom Mark II explodes with a Subspace Bomb in its chest, and Duffman is sucked into the void.
Stage 12: The Grasslands (BOSS: Galleom Mark II)
Back on Earth-1, Rorschach, Weird Al, Chain Chomp, Crash, Old School Mario, and Mary Sue continue their search, and catch up to Tails Doll. TD sics Petey Piranha on them but he is defeated. Angrily, Tails Doll retreats.
Stage 13: The Wastelands (“boss”: Petey Piranha)
On Earth-2, Marcus Fenix continues tearing through Primid with his bayonette. He battles them mercilessly, but is blindsided by Skull Kid and turned into a trophy. Skull Kid takes him to Subspace and meets with all the other villains: Pinstripe, Tails Doll, K.Rool, Dry Bowser, Deoxys, and the Primid who secretly freed Daisy. They are addressed by the off-screen leader, and none see Primid sneak away. Primid reanimates Marcus and leads him to his secret room where Daisy and Duffman also are.
Stage 14: The Subspace Gate
Stephen and co. continue fighting Subspace Creatures, and end up running into Squanto, Juggernaut, Jaffar, and Ryu. They team up, just before King K.Rool appears with his relative, Kaptain K.Rool to defeat them. However, Kaptain is defeated, and K.Rool flees once again.
Stage 15: The Mountains. (BOSS: Kaptain K.Rool)
Back on Earth-1, Animal Crosser, Bowser jr., and Geno are in a museum fighting the Subspace creatures. From the Museum bathroom emerges Fred Fredburger, who joins the fight, although whether or not he’s welcome is unknown.
Stage 16: The Museum
In Subspace, Primid explains to Duffman, Daisy, and Fenix that he was and still is loyal to Tabuu. The new leader of the Subspace Army is not Tabuu, and this Primid refuses to truly obey anyone but Tabuu. He resurrected the three warriors to help overthrow the new ruler who usurped Tabuu’s power. The group is overheard by Deoxys, who engages them. They defeat it, and it is revealed Deoxys was mind-controlled, not really evil. Deoxys joins the resistance.
Stage 17: Subspace
Back on Earth-2, Tails Doll and Skull Kid set off another bomb successfully, when Skull Kid attacks Tails Doll, intending to stab him in the back and get TD’s share of “Tabuu”’s reward for serving him that was offered the villains. The player chooses a villain to play, and depending on who is chosen, one of two things will happen. Either The Tails Doll trophy or Skull Kid trophy will be left unattended by the victor, who will flee. The trophy of whoever will then be found by Rayman, here to join the fight. Rayman will either team up with Skull Kid or Tails Doll to defeat a hoarde of Subspace creatures.
Stage 18: The Battlefield.
On Earth-1, Bowser jr., Geno, Fred Fredburger and Animal Crosser finally catch up to Dry Bowser, who is now teamed with Pinstripe Pondoroo. They battle, and the heroes win. Junior reanimates the Dry Bowser trophy, and DB now recognizes his son. They embrace, and Dry Bowser then “persuades” (e.g. beats up) Pinstripe until he agrees to switch sides.
Stage 19: The Swamp
Back in Subspace, either Tails Doll or Skull Kid, depending on who won the fight in stage 18, will join Primid’s resistance team.
Meanwhile, on Earth-1, Old School Mario, Crash, Mary Sue, Chain Chomp, Rorschach, Weird Al, and Petey Piranha are in the forest fighting Subspace drones when Hariyama and Paula appear to help. Suddenly, a giant angry wiggler appears, and the heroes have to defeat it.
Stage 20: The Jungle (BOSS: Wiggler)
In Subspace, K.Rool, the last truly loyal villain, appeals to the leader of the Subspace Army, who is unseen by the player. The leader uses his power to mutate K.Rool into a giant T-Rex like creature and sends him to deal with the heroes of Earth-2: Stephen, Judy, Jimi, Trogdor, Squanto, Juggernaut, Jaffar, and Ryu. He does so, but they defeat and “Convert” him.
Stage 21: The Ruins (BOSS: K. Rex)
Rayman and his traveling buddy end up meeting Bowser jr., Geno, Dry Bowser, Animal Crosser, Fred, and Pinstripe and they all unite. The villain Rayman’s with will inform Pinstripe of the betrayal, and they head out to find other able-bodied fighters.
Stage 22: The Meeting Ground
On Earth-2, Stephen and co. use K.Rool to take them to Subspace, but something goes wrong and they end up on Earth-1 instead. They meet Old School Mario, Crash, Mary Sue, Chain Chomp, Rorschach, Weird Al, Hariyama, Paula, and Petey Piranha. Stephen and Al reunite and fill each other in on what has happened. All the heroes unite to stop the expanding darkness and get back to their own earths.
Stage 23: The Earth Bridge
In Subspace, Primid’s rebellion, composed of Primid, Duffman, Daisy, Tails Doll or Skull Kid (depending), Deoxys, and Fenix, attacks the ruler of the army (still unseen), but he casually uses his powers to warp all of Subspace and send them to another earth. They land there and find themselves in a world filled with odd block-based life forms. You guessed it--a Tetris-based world, called the Tetrisphere! They are attacked by a giant dinosaur made of out Tetris blocks, but aided by the L-Block, who joins them on their quest. They leave the Tetrisphere to gain more troops and try again.
Stage 24: The Tetrisphere (BOSS: Tetrisaurus)
Rayman, Tails Doll/Skull Kid, Animal Crosser, Pinstripe, Dry Bowser, Bowser jr., and Fred Fredburger use TD/Skull Kid’s power to travel to Subspace to confront the villain, who is at this point revealed to be Jinn from the Tekken series. With a wave of his hand, Jinn, using Tabuu’s power and having a Tabuu-esque design on his skin as well as the little ball glowing in his chest, turns the characters into dark versions of themselves.
Stage 25: The Subspace Fortress
Primid, Duffman, Daisy, Tails Doll or Skull Kid (depending), Deoxys, Fenix, and L Block arrive on Earth-1 and meet the other heroes already there. Everyone, except those in Primid’s group unites and travels to Subspace. Jinn watches them, and once they leave, takes the opportunity to use a massive amount of Subspace Bombs on both Earth-1 and Earth-2. In short order, both worlds are consumed by the darkness.
Stage 26: Subspace (2)
When the heroes reach Jinn, he reveals the corrupted members of Primid’s team, and the heroes must battle them one at a time. After they have all been defeated and re-awoken by the heroes, all 34 characters stand against Jinn.
Stage 27: Subspace (3) (BOSSES: Dark Primid--Dark Daisy--Dark Tails Doll/Dark Skull Kid (depending)--Dark Deoxys--Dark Fenix--Dark L-Block.)
The characters take the fight to Jinn, and seem successful. Jinn, seeing he may lose the battle, begins to absorb all the energy in Subspace to make himself unbeatable. All the matter in Subspace is absorbed, and both earths seem to collapse into the void that is Jinn. Earth-1 and Earth-2 collide into each other, collapsing into each other, seemingly destroying each other in a massive explosion. As all the characters look on in horror the screen fades to white.
Stage 28: The Throne Room (BOSS: Tabuu/Jinn)
Old School Mario awakes to find all the heroes unconscious around him. They all seem to be in a sort of empty space, with nothing but plain white as far as the eye can see. Old School Mario awakes all of his comrades, and they all look around to find…well, anything, really. After awhile, they do find something…Jinn, now mutated beyond recognition, with all the power of Subspace and everything that was in it!
Stage 29: The Void
All the characters rally against the new, seemingly god-like Jinn, and through their persistence, are finally able to defeat him when Squanto, Travis, Jaffar, and Marcus plunge their weapons into the glowing ball in Jinn’s chest, releasing Tabuu, though he is still weakened. Upon seeing this, Primid jumps forth to embrace his master, and the two disappear from existence in a flash of light. The white world everyone is in begins to collapse, and all our heroes an villains (except Primid and Tabuu) fall through the cosmos as Jinn’s control of reality is undone. Everyone ends up on Earth. Not Earth-1, not Earth-2, but a new earth, a mixture of the two, called Earth-Alpha, because Jinn’s malicious abuse of power had damaged the two alternate earths beyond repair. With the evil vanquished, all involved look down on an extremely weakened Jinn, and wonder what to do with him. And for the first time in a long time, Jinn feels fear.
Stage 30: The Great Emptiness (BOSS: Devil Jinn)
THE END
Now watch as the credits roll. But wait…don’t turn the game off just because the credits are rolling. As anyone who saw Iron Man knows, you should always stay tuned till after the credits for the…

Now then, on to the story:

They continue chasing them until Travis jumps out to deal with them. After the heroes defeat him, he explains he isn’t evil, it was just the job. Stephen then offers Travis twice what K.Rool paid him to switch sides. Travis agrees.
